After qualifying in 1978, David spent two years with KPMG before joining the firm in 1980. He became a partner in 1985 and now manages a portfolio of personal and corporate clients, varying in size from simple personal tax returns to large corporate groups. Having held the post of staff partner and audit technical partner in the past, he now focuses mainly on his portfolio and his responsibilities as a partner in charge of the audit and accounts department.
David was responsible for the setting up and development of the financial services side of the business and achieved the MSFA qualification as part of this process. David is also a key member of the firm's charity sector team.
He has acted as an expert witness in a number of high value medical negligence cases and has dealt with numerous loss of earnings/profits cases and business valuations.
He still plays 5-a-side football on a regular basis and turns out for the office cricket team (when selected!). He is a lifelong ManCity fan, having been born and brought up within a mile of Maine Road.
